An easy, cheesy pull-apart bread chock full of garlic and fresh parsley? Yes please.
This cheesy garlic bread is seriously the bees knees. It takes about five minutes to get prepped and in the oven, and it's baked up in under 20. Because you need aluminum foil to get the cheese nice and melty, clean-up is also a breeze.
This bread is as pretty as it is versatile. Use your favorite seasonings and swap out the cheese for whatever you're feeling, the possibilities are almost endless. I typically stick to parmesan and mozzarella out of sheer laziness, but I absolutely love this bread with a handful of asiago.
Parsley gives this bread life, and you really don't need to add much more than some garlic, salt and pepper.. but Italian seasoning works pretty dang well here if you're a fan. Serve this bread up with a hot bowl of soup or some spaghetti and a salad for a quick weeknight meal.

Cheesy garlic bread recipe
- Preheat the oven to 400º F.
- In a medium size mixing bowl, use the back of a fork to thoroughly combine the softened butter, shredded cheeses, garlic, garlic powder, salt, pepper, parsley and Italian seasoning (if using).
- Slice the bread in a diagonal pattern, being sure not to slice all the way through the loaf. Use a spreader to evenly distribute the majority of the butter and cheese mixture throughout the cuts. Use any of your remaining butter to coat the crust.
- Cover the bread with foil and bake on a baking sheet for 10 minutes. Uncover and continue baking for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted throughout and the crust is golden brown. Top the bread with additional shredded parsley, if desired. Serve and enjoy!

Notes
- If you're using sourdough like I typically do, you may have to use a knife to cut through the bottom of the loaf when serving if you want more even "tears" French bread has a much softer crust and will tear much more freely.
- Try substituting other cheeses! Asiago and Romano are delicious in this recipe, as is Monterey jack.
- If you want to scale back on the butter, you can substitute up to half for olive oil. Your bread may end up a bit messier but will still be delicious.
